For many women, scheduling a gynecology appointment—especially one involving sexual health, cosmetic concerns, or postpartum or menopausal changes—comes with hesitation.
Will I be rushed?
Will I be dismissed?
Will I feel pressured into something I’m not ready for?
At Renewal Gynecology, we’ve intentionally designed the first visit to feel different—calmer, slower, and centered on listening.
First, an Important Clarification
We want to be very clear about how Renewal Gynecology fits into your overall care.
We currently continue to provide routine gynecologic care—such as Pap smears, contraception, and general gynecology—through our work at a local Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
Renewal Gynecology exists for a different purpose.
This practice is dedicated to:
cosmetic and functional gynecology
regenerative sexual wellness
postpartum and menopausal tissue restoration
hormone optimization
procedures and therapies that require time, privacy, and depth
Separating these roles allows us to give each type of care the attention it deserves.
A Conversation Before Anything Else
Your first visit at Renewal Gynecology begins with a conversation—not a rushed intake or an immediate exam.
We take time to understand:
what brought you in
what your body has experienced (birth, menopause, surgery, trauma, or time)
what symptoms or changes you’ve noticed
what you’re hoping might improve
Many women tell us this is the first time they’ve been able to speak openly about comfort, pain, or sexual concerns without feeling hurried or minimized.
An Exam—Only If and When It’s Appropriate
A physical exam is never automatic.
If an exam would be helpful, we:
explain exactly why
describe what will happen before we begin
move slowly and respectfully
stop at any time if you ask
You are always in control of the pace and scope of your visit.
Clear Education, Not Pressure
After understanding your concerns, we walk through your options clearly and honestly.
That may include:
conservative or watchful approaches
regenerative therapies such as PRP or nanofat
hormonal evaluation and support
or, for some patients, a minor procedure
